AI in the welding industry – this topic accompanied all participants in the debate, which took place on September 04 at Ptak Expo Warsaw during the Weld Tech International Fair. Experts had no doubts when it came to the technological development of welding trends. Passion and commitment in this field alone is not enough, the market is increasingly demanding. There is a shortage of education, workers – and artificial intelligence is fixing this problem.

The experts in the debate were Agnieszka Kiszka, Michał Gąsieniec, Łukasz Malczyk and Mateusz Pijanowski, who will share their knowledge, experience and thoughts on how AI affects the development of the welding industry.

Agnieszka Kiszka – Has been involved in the welding industry for almost 17 years. She graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Technology at the Silesian University of Technology. She wrote her diploma thesis on laser technology defended in the Department of Welding. After graduation, she started working at the Welding Institute in Gliwice in the Department of Welding Technology and Environmental Engineering. She carried out research work related to FSW (friction stir welding) welding technology, as well as vibration welding of thermoplastics.

Łukasz Malczyk – entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience, president of the Union of Polish Entrepreneurs organization bringing together several thousand companies in the SME sector, vice president of the Pro.JEKT Association dealing with, among other things, stimulating the activity of the younger generation and developing their social and economic awareness, board member at the Ciepły Posiłek Foundation supporting needy, poor and sick children from, among others, orphanages, care and treatment centers, people in crisis of homelessness and at risk of poverty, member of the dietetics council of the Warsaw Medical University.

Michał Gąsieniec – president of the Company P.P.H.U. MG OBRÓBKA SKRAWANIEM, which offers services in the following areas: turning, milling, welding, cutting. Reconditioning, modernization of equipment and tools, technological lines is one of the activities carried out by MG Machining. The company deals with machining of metal parts. It accepts orders for the design and manufacture of complete components as well as for the repair, overhaul and regeneration of parts.

Mateusz Pijanowski, CTO of Quantum Neuron, a VentureTech organization specializing in AI solutions for business. An expert in developing cutting-edge AI technology infrastructure and fine-tuning language models, he combines the latest technologies such as the RAG method, vector databases and LLMs into innovative products that automate communication, sales and customer support.
Through the debate, many of the topics that entrepreneurs face in the welding industry were addressed. Questions from the audience, which eagerly participated in the discussion, showed how much interest there is in artificial intelligence.
